sebagai Genoa Cricket & Athletic Club (1893-98) oleh orang-orang
Inggeris utk bermain kriket. Kemudiannya pada 1897 James Richardson
Spensley telah mencetuskan fenomena bolasepak kepada Itali dan telah di
anggap 'the father of the Italian football' dan menukarkan nama kelab
dari 'Alhletic' kepada 'Football' menjadi Genoa Criket and Footbal Club.
